I was fortunate to find a 2018 G80 5.0 AWD Ultimate Santiago Silver w/ Gray back in April. Only had 1015 miles, clean Carfax, $99 shipping to Cincinnati. Paid $40k + change, feel like I got a fantastic deal. Car is beautiful, a dream to drive, & loaded out with every option I could ask for.My search for my next car has now come to an end. I started this search from a recommendation from my mechanic that I need to seriously look into the "Genesis G80" for my Infiniti replacement. So I started looking into the 2017 models, Then I notice the 2018 and 2019s added the 3.8 Ultimate option. I finally test drove a 2019 3.3T Sport (real nice). So I finally settle in my mind for a 2018 or 2019 3.8 Ultimate. Found a couple with nice prices but dealers were trying to sock it to me on taxes and fees.
Mid May I found a 2018 G80 5.0 Ultimate (very low miles), the price was very nice and then over memorial day weekend the price became "very very nice". So I pulled the trigger and today the car was delivered to me. Casablanca White with grey interior, this thing is a beauty. Quick question, does these cars come with a owner manual or are they downloadable? I have the quick guide and that will do for now. I also have to get with the dealership and get my floor mats shipped to me.
I will have it detail on friday and get pics up at that time. My wife drove it and said she thought it felt better than the 3.3 T Sport, I have to agree with her. Very smooth ride. I need to look into the 10yr/100,000 warranty addition. I believe we are going to be happy with this purchase. Thanks for all the help guys, I learn so much about this brand in the short time I found this site.
Thanks
D
Good for you man! Let see some pics..I was fortunate to find a 2018 G80 5.0 AWD Ultimate Santiago Silver w/ Gray back in April. Only had 1015 miles, clean Carfax, $99 shipping to Cincinnati. Paid $40k + change, feel like I got a fantastic deal. Car is beautiful, a dream to drive, & loaded out with every option I could ask for.
If you want to hold on, pack a big lunch and plenty of clean socks as you may have a long wait.Don't mean to hijack the thread, but it sounds like everyone in here has recently gone through what I am currently doing.
I've just recently began my search for a similar vehicle. Either the 5.0 Ultimate or the 3.8 Ultimate. 2017.
I've found a 3.8 Ultimate nearby...5.0 Ultimates are much harder to come by, it seems. I've just recently started looking...Are used G80s a rarity or pretty common?
That is, should I jump on the one nearby...or hold tight for an ibiza blue 5.0 with an ivory interior?
2018 Ultimate got Android Auto and CarPlay. It got the surround camera tooThanks for the quick feedback. I somewhat suspected I was looking for a unicorn.
From what I could tell, the 2017 and 2018 3.8 Ultimate both seemed to have very similar options? Am I missing something?
I'm looking at a 3.8 2017 Ultimate that's got the panoramic sunroof, leather seats, all that jazz. 2018s tend to be a good little bit more expensive and from what I could tell there wasn't any huge differences. If I'm missing something, please let me know. If I'm being honest, I'm not sure I know what Option 2 and Option 3 mean individually, even though I've seen the terms.
There's a few 5.0s available within 500 miles of me...the nearest being ~120 miles.
This forum is awesome.
EDIT: Ahh okay. The 2017 3.8 that's nearby has option 1, but not option 2. So it's Premium but not Ultimate.
Expiring 3 year leases are your best bet. You may also find them at Hyundai dealers as cpo with the 10yr 100k mi cpo powertrain warranty.
Yeah it is , real sexy!!Roger that. I won't be in a big hurry then. I'll keep an eye out for 2017s and 2018s getting of 3 or 2 year leases and wait until I see a good one. Won't be too picky about the color but dang that ivory interior is sexyyyy.
The 2018 does get you a few extras.Dang it, you may have me sold on going with a 2018.
What's a good price for a 2018 3.3T Sport @ 45k miles. Hyundai certified. $30k seem about right
Looks just mineHi Guys,
here's a quick pic of the car, daviderle, here it is, I asked the detailer not to shine the tires, and his guys did. When my wife drove it home and got out, she saw the splatter and told me to order the mud guards (i did this morning). My detailer was fired, not because of that, but they missed alot of things. That's another rant, breathe ... ok. They call my interior "ivory" but it looks grey to me ?? but it is a cool look. I have to break the lexol out tomorrow, yeah they missed some spots on the inside .... breathe.
my buying experience went like this, I only drove a 2019 Sport 3.3T (30 min. test drive) and a brief 5 min drive in 2017 G80 3.8. So I know the G80 3.8 Ultimate was my goal. Hard car to find right now and i then i ran across this 5.0. I saw the number drop once and by memorial day it drop again. I had to move on it. I got major pictures, videos and we did a walk around video. Without going in details, I'm very confident of the videos and pictures where the real deal. Now transport was different, they wouldn't offer me transport (another long story) I found a company and turned out they were brokers (sub the job out) they finally found a driver who was going to Dothan (2 hrs away from me) and he brought it up. Hope that answer your question to some degree. I really like this car, it's very nice.
