  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2022 Genesis G70 3.3T races Audi S4

Audi, BMW and MB tend to have more aggressive launch control than the G70/Stinger. I believe Genesis limits power which reduces stress and extends component life. The German cars have far shorter warranties so I makes sense they will trade transmission life for better 0-60 times. Most Audi’s are limited to 300 launches, then the feature disables. This tells how stressful the Audi launches are on the car.

Launch control is not a very practical feature. It artificially reduces 0-60 times making these times a bad representation of a cars real speed. Funny, a lot of cars with crazy launch control have slower 5-60 times than 0-60 times.

A better measure of a car’s useable speed is in gear acceleration. This is what you feel day to day.

Yes, this is well known. The engine doesn't make boost on launch. Use the brake boost mod and you get all the boost you want and launching is unreal.

Yup. I'm reminded of the crazy launch control VW placed on the Arteon 4-cylinder to give it almost the same 0-60 as a G70 with the 3.3T. Good luck owning that out of warranty...
