My main ride is e-sC, but today I got base model as loaner.Relatively new member here looking at the 2023 G90. I was curious to know if any ‘23 owners or shoppers have had an opportunity to drive the base G90 and Supercharged models back to back. Last weekend I test drove the eSupercharged trim and thought it was fantastic. The dealer did not have a base model to drive. Tried another dealer and the same thing. My priority is a smooth, quiet experience so, ultimately, I‘m curious about the ride on the 20 inch wheels without the air suspension. Thank you in advance.
What ppf did you use and what did it cost you? The quote I got for a Dr Beasley seemed exceedingly high.In terms of preference of color that's a personal choice. It was my second favorite color behind the Halassan Green (which I saw on paper but not in real life), and since they didn't have the green in stock I bought the matte white. Which in real life plays a bit of a visual trick makes this car look bigger and more substantial side by side with the glossy G90s in the showroom.
Matte obviously has its upkeep downsides, so you really need to PPF the car and be more careful with washing it.
I've personally never owned a matte or white car before (I never liked them) But I think on the G90 it looks amazing in real life, and in my mind they seem to have designed the car with this color in mind.
But again... its a personal choice. Ask yourself:
1. Are you prepared to deal with the upkeep of matte?
2. Are you prepared to pay a bit more to PPF the car?
3. Do you even like the color?
When building a large luxury vehicle, certain requirements should be standard during the initial discussions especially when you want to compete with the Top 3 (Audi A8, S580, &760) in the class, I love all the upgrades to the 2023 G90 but not having a V8 was a major disappointment for me.Yes, I do very much understand that not everyone wants a V8 and I understand that the V8 is a dying breed. But come on. They’re only going to offer a V6 on this extremely expensive flagship sedan? How on earth is it going to compete with Audi, BMW, or Mercedes in the power department? I currently have a 2021 G90 5.0 AWD. I previously had a 2018 G90 5.0 AWD. It’s proper for the G90 to offer a V6 and V8, just like every other flagship luxury sedan. If all Genesis is going to offer is one V6 for the 2023 G90, I’ll be switching to a different brand altogether, which makes me sad.
Congrats on a beautiful car! I saw one in black a couple of months ago and it was absolutely stunning. It had great road presence. After 3 Audi A8Ls 2 with the v6 twin turbo and 1 with the V8 I assure you the G90 E Super charged 6 in real world driving is comparable. In virtually every other measure the G is superior. Ride, noise, quality (even) and looks, IMO
Well now . . . perhaps, because this model is newer, and not as many people own them, answers aren't available. Also, it should be noted, the newest model generation (23/24) should probably be in it's own section since there is so much new about the car. That way, people like you, who dislike the forum, might get better answers. Oh and I don't think the new G90 is nice. But have a good day.So, I've been on the forum for a few months now and have no idea what the purpose is other than an echo chamber for how nice the new G90 is. Yes it's fantastic but there are absolutely no answers to some basic questions. ie, I can remote lower windows and remote open the trunk. Why/how can't I remote close either? Just an example. Some really basic things being asked and totally ignored here. Nice car, yes. Lousy forum when compared to Audi, BMW and MB
Answers aren't available? The forum sponsor has no access to Genesis CS brass? I don't dislike the forum, it just doesn't serve any purpose of mine. I don't care what others "think" of the car. I make my own conclusions about the vehicle. Enjoy your day as wellWell now . . . perhaps, because this model is newer, and not as many people own them, answers aren't available. No - they don't. This is a privately created forum for & by enthusiasts - and has just about as much connection to the corporate level of Genny of Hyundai as any other enthusiasts forum on the internet: None.Answers aren't available? The forum sponsor has no access to Genesis CS brass?
These are questions you should be asking the dealership you bought the car from.there are absolutely no answers to some basic questions. ie, I can remote lower windows and remote open the trunk. Agree. When I take it in at 6k for 1st service I'll have a list for them, lol. Brand new dealership working out the kinks but let's see how they doThese are questions you should be asking the dealership you bought the car from.
