2025 OTA Problem - Wireless Carplay / Android Auto

I got my OTA update as recently as 1 week ago.

They only pulled the update for the 2025 YM. 21 through 24 have the update available for OTA, download or order.

Anyone with 2025 GV80 receive the OTA update this month (October) yet? Sounds like maybe they paused the OTA updates last month and hoping they are resuming them now. Purchased my 2025 back in August and hoping we get the OTA update like other GV80 model years. Frustrating that newest model seems to be the last ones to get the update.

I know you can go out and download the update and install manually but the problem is the current list of compatible vehicles DOES NOT list the 2025 GV80 models. Therefore, I've been hesitant to download and install in my 2025 so nothing gets messed up.

I don't know how true this is or not, but someone on facebook posted that the 2025 is now available on the Web site.
The only problem is that that revamped the web site and I can not find the map update section to verify this.
So if you have the time, check out the web site (Not the phone app) and see if you can find it....Well, if the facebook poster is right.

can anyone tell me what / when version 240620 is from?? I couldn't resist hitting the connected car button on the headliner today to test out the service. When I was talking to the guy and mentioned OTA issues , I told him what version we have and he said the latest is 240620?!? He also said that one has to drive the car a bit to get a download , but could not tell me how long. Is there a timeframe to keep in mind when waiting for an OTA to start?

We drove for about 40 minutes today.... Still nothing

From the maps site, it looks like the latest version is 240823. You do not have to be driving to get an update unless they have changed something on the 2025. You just have to have a good connection to the connected services. If you have an OTA update available, the UPDATE button will be highlighted and selectable. If it is not, then there is no OTA available. If you do not want to wait, go to the maps site and do a manual install of the latest update. Here is the site:

It's a mystery! My car only had 19 miles on it when I picked it up and shows being updated the day before I got it. My Connected Services wasn't activated yet, that happened the day after the "Updated" date on the screen. I'm beginning to suspect the Dealer (Genesis of Cherry Hill) prep department did something. Call them and ask their Tech Concierge, Zac @ 844-510-0128

I’m beginning to think our car wasn’t prepped. Same thing happened at Porsche. I specifically asked them and Genessis to make sure car was prepped and set to “new” and PDI done…. They all say-said, it’s done, all we have to do is reset from the dash, nothing to it. I had to pull stickers off the wheel center caps, unwrap the seals belts stickers and I even found stickers on each side of the center console and on the steering column between it and the dash….

Not surprised. You get minimum wage guy to prep the vehicle and he rushes through it. Months after I got my GV80, I still found some missed plastic wrap.

Oops. My point was not about wages or doing one’s job well based on salary - it was about updates and whether or not it was or wasn’t prepped properly for delivery.

I have a 2025 GV80 and tried updating to the new software via USB stick, but it has been stuck on “Preparing to update navigation software” for almost a day now. It also says that the car needs to be turned off for it to install, which is the opposite of what others have said.
Has anyone had success with the USB upgrade for the GV80 2025?

So I couldn't take it - called a second dealer , talked to guy in service who sounded pretty with it. Gave him my vin for my 3 week old 2025 GV80 Coupe. He said there are no OTA updates available for mine and that the last update was done 072524 - before we took delivery. He said it would show as a campaign and that the only campaign is for a recall on the outer door handle and the last July update addressed battery logic issue. He said all that is available for Apple CarPlay for me now is wired.

to say the least! im so confused.... Im tempted to just try the manual update. Question - I dont remember from when I looked before online - does it tell you what version one is downloading??
