2026 GV70 Headrest Adjustment?

The 2026 quick reference guide illustrates and is written that the driver and passenger headrest cannot only be adjusted up and down, but also forward and rearward. The ones in my GV70 do not work and the dealer says they’re not supposed to. With all of the features of the sport prestige seats, I find it hard to believe That they don’t adjust forward and rear word. I’ve had other vehicles of less caliber with adjustable headrest. Can anybody with a 2026 confirm if there’s if their headrest do work forward in reverse?

Probably a mistake in the Quick Reference Guide (maybe copied from a different region and not corrected), because the 2026 Owners Manual for the USA only shows up and down adjustments. It would be awesome, but I don't think any year GV70 in the USA has ever had forward and backward adjustments.

GV60 headrest moves fore and aft. The GV80 moves fore and aft. Why wouldn't the GV70? RECALL

We purchased a 2026 GV70 in May. Like you, the quick reference guide says one thing, the owner's manual another. The dealer THOUGHT they adjusted fore and aft and were surprised they did not. I wrote to Genesis customer service and I received an email that said, "Our Research Department has provided clear assurance that the driver and passenger seat headrests in the 2026 GV70 are, in fact, DESIGNED (my emphasis) to adjust fore and aft. Should your headrests not adjust AS DESIGNED (again, my emphasis), it is recommended that you inquire with your selling Genesis retailer into replacements that adjust properly. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused."
After several months of discussions with Genesis Customer Service, customer service says the headrests do not adjust fore and aft, regardless of how they are designed, I have now asked for the name and address of their corporate counsel.
It is ludicrous that the GV60 adjusts fore and aft (in fact, the retailer offered to sell me the headrests for the GV60 to replace the headrests in the GV70) and the GV80 adjust fore and aft but the GV70, while DESIGNED to adjust, do not. This appears to be a manufacturing error/decision, and they find it less expensive to reprint the quick guide than provide headrests as designed. I suggest to all 2026 GV70 owners that you email Genesis customer service and state you want the headrests that adjust fore and aft, as they were designed. Feel free to use the quotes from the email I received.

This is something I'd like to know also. I have a 2026 and I wish I could pull the headrest forward just a little bit. Do we not get adjustable headrests in the US (do other markets get them)? If not, can we figure out the part number for the forward/backward adjustable headrest for those that want to try to order and replace theirs? Alternately, is there a company that creates a neck pillow that matches the interior that would work well?
