  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am new to the community I just purchased a 2012 3.8L V6
White / Cashmere Interior / Premium / Tech

It currently has the stock 18s on it. The first thing I plan to do is to re-badge the vehicle hood/trunk/steering wheel

The second is to add some wheels and I just wanted some feedback on the positives / negatives between "staggered 20" wheels/tires & 22" wheels/tires"

Thanks // The car I have been looking at that has really sold me on the look is the DUB Edition 2009 Genesis. Thanks for your input!

You are only one year old, and you bought a two year old Genesis? Don't tell me, you made the money to buy the car by investing with your E-Trade brokerage account, right?

Well im sure your going to get a bunch of negative comments, its the nature of this site for the most part when going outside of manufacturer spec. But there is nothing wrong with staggered 20's when done correctly. Im staggered on 20's and a few others are as well. 22's imho are too big on a genesis from the ones i've seen on here. Might look good if they tuck in the wheel well and the vehicle is lowered a little. Heres a posting on the subject and welcome to the site.

20's look wimpy IMO. I would definitely go for the 22's.

I actually work at Infiniti and never had a luxury vehicle it's been 98 Honda Civic, 71 Chevelle, 87 Grand National, 09 Maxima, 2010 Denali, 84 Mustang.... Just all over the place but never a luxury car! I figured I would try the Genesis out before I take the maintenance dive on an Audi S5. I bought a pre-owned with Genny 35K miles for 22K. 2nd Owners not welcome here? lol

I'm torn between 20s/22s so thanks for the input fellas..

Agree 100%. Don't listen to the naysayers on this forum.
Given the right wheel design 20s would look perfect. 22s would look silly.

That's funny you asked that colourfuze.... I Just joined and logged on to ask that same exact question! I also wanted to know if anyone who has 22"s, have any road, tire, suspension or turning ratio issues?

After seeing that dub genesis I think it messed me up mentally! lol

20" only looks good if the car is lowered some. They don't look right at stock ride height.

22" just look outright donk. They look ridiculous.

Of course I know they look ridonkulous!!!! lol.... I wanna know how the handle, and what problems one is having with them? Especially since you'll be on pretty much what they call "rubber bands"(very little tire)".

I would say correct tires might be as follows;

front 22x9 255/25/22
rear 22x10 275/25/22

Yeah, once you step into 22's your tire choices are going to be "rubberbands". Its the nature of the wheels size. From what ive seen with my car, unless you stay at stock height your gonna have issues in the wheel well going up to 22's. The DUB car you mentioned, id do research and see if they did any kind of suspension work, the white one looks fairly low. Remember, that was made for a car show and prob doesnt see miles on the road.
