  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thought I would share this. I ordered replacement wipers. Parts # U889-0-00016-H and U8890-00026-H ($12.74 each) www.hyundaioemparts.com. They arrived and when I went to install them they would not clip all the way in. After some investigation I found the retaining clip on the axis rod of the blade was bigger than the ones that came from factory. The axis/retaining clip just pops off and so I swapped the ones that were on the car to the new replacement wipers. Installation complete. Man I like new blades. I attached a pic to give a visual of what I am talking about.

Thanks,....I'm about to replace my blades....

I see where the blade inserts can be supplied....has anyone tried to use them or are we better off getting the whole blade for a few dollars more?

I thought it would be easier to replace the whole blade. They also have a cool wear window that starts black then goes green then yellow when they need replacing. Don't know if its just based on time but for $12 bucks Ill replace when it turns yellow unless it turns yellow in a week

Another note: Before I figured out the clip could be swapped I tried swapping just the blades and the new ones or a tad wider and I could not get them on old arms more than half way.

Ok, thanks....Ill go with the whole blade replacements.

Something is not right here. The blade assembly does not fit properly nor do the refills? Are you sure you got the correct parts for the Genesis?

Did not order or try refills. Just tried swapping from the new wipers I ordered to the original arms. Only part # I found for 2015 Genesis Sedan. If I got the wrong part I wouldn't know.

I ordered 98351-B1000 & 98361-B1000

Ordered them last week form https://www.hyundaioemparts.com

Ordered a set of mudguards too.

Unfortunately, I got an email today saying that there is a 3-5 day delay due to parts arriving from Hyundai.

Once i get the refills, I will let you guys know how they go

I still have my original wiper blades from when I purchased my car back in September of 2014. Still like new. They are amazing for stock wiper blades. Normally I upgrade to Bosch blades as this Florida sun cooks the cheap ones in less than a year. When mine need replacing I will go for another set of stock blades.

MTH,......Thanks for the suggestion to use the original clip when changing the wipers.....I think I'd still be out there trying to figure out how to get the ones to work that came with the replacement blades........

I ordered a set of the refills, and installed them a couple days ago.

It was fairly straightforward.

Do you have to set your wipers half way up the windshield or open the hood to get the arms extended to change the blades. Looks like there is not enough room for the arm to be extended in the normal position.

It's in the owners manual. After you shut the car off, hold the wiper arm up and the wipers will come u and stay there to be able to work on them. ;)

I didn't look this up for this car, I just tried it because it is how you do it on the Gen 1. This is a handy feature that carried over.
