Why go high mileage when there are so many lower mileage examples being sold in the Coupe?
As far as reliability goes, I had a BK1 Gen Coupe 2.0T and that thing was an absolute nightmare. Went through a motor, a gearbox, and so very many
wheel bearings and struts. Motor went shortly after I purchased it at around 120k km (Purchased at 107k km), and the gearbox just before i sold it at around 135k km, fixed at 142k km. Car was sold at 148k km. I Stage 1 tuned AFTER the motor went, and when I went to a solid flywheel the gearbox went.
Lots of people have coupes without issues, but I would personally go with the 3.8 NA motor, and a lower mileage car. With a sports coupe especially, you just don't know what you're getting at higher mileage, and a turbo vehicle may not have been properly taken care of, as there is more maintenance that you are supposed to do and be aware of on a turbo car.
I'm convinced that the person who had the car before me was pretty hard on the car, so I can't 100% blame the car, and I did enjoy my car when it worked. Just some things to keep in mind, as the coupe is notorious for gearbox issues in the manual transmissions.
