  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey!

I just installed a CAI on my 2015 V6 Genesis.

I love the sound they make along with the extra purr from the V6 chugging down air through the new intake.
Anyone have good or bad experiences with CAI on the 2015 Genesis?

I'll keep an eye on my hud, someone reviewed this intake and said they got check engine warnings and a few times the car died while idling.
Sounded like that could have been a bad sensor or something though.

Anyway, if you have installed a CAI let me know if you love it or hate it or if it's just meh to you.

Thanks!!

I had this intake installed on my '15 for a couple of years. Lots of idling problems, car would die when idling, and a few times while crawling ahead in DRIVE. I felt like the car lost a decent amount of low-end torque too. Took the intake off about 4 months ago and zero issues since then. I would not recommend this intake for this car.

Hi,

I installed this intake on my car right after my lease began two years ago and other than the occasional cleaning I haven't had any problems from it. I enjoy how much throatier the engine sounds yet cruising on the highway its still as quiet as it was stock. If I end up with a new G80 after my 2016 Genesis lease is up I'll probably transfer it over to the new car, although the overall quality of this car leaves a lot to be desired and is making me look into other brands....

Thanks,

Mat
