Hi all.
This is a weird one, hoping someone here can relate or knows what it is.
My particular car is a 2010 4.6 - When first driving the car after a cold start (ex. going to work in the morning) there's this weird sound that seems to come from the passenger side, front wheel area.
It sounds like ... remember when you would tape baseball cards to your bike so they'd make noise in the spokes? Something like that. The other way I would describe it (sorry if this sounds truly weird) but it sounds as though there's a small wheel, picture a wheelbarrow wheel, hidden away in the bodywork, like the right front fender, and it's spinning, but the lug nuts are really loose! I believe I can feel a very slight shudder. Note that this only happens between about (an indicated) 42 to 48 KPH (or 26 to 30 MPH).
This annoyance seems to go away when the car has fully warmed up.
Also, oddly enough, this NEVER happens in winter!? Or at least when it's below a certain temperature. In the spring/summer/fall, it will happen about 80% of the time (from a cold start).
I bought the car second hand with about 45,000km (28,000 miles) and I believe I only first noticed it after about a week of living with it.
Any ideas?
Thanks to all for any responses.
