5.0 R-Spec in Toronto Area?

While I am not ordering one at the moment......just purchased a 3.8 Premium last September, I was at Richmond Hill Hyundai on Wednesday and they had a R spec that had just arrived. I will be taking it for a ride next week. Did not ask about supply availability but may have an answer for you in a few days.

Thanks for that update! Unfortunately I won't likely be out in Richmond Hill before Sep 10th so let me know how it drives! Maybe this R-Spec is the demo from Hyundai Canada head office? The first shipment just arrived in port last week and my dealer confirmed Sep 10th is their date for delivery. What colour was it?

It was black on black......hope to take it out after the long weekend.....do not think it is the HQ demo as they were removing the protective coverings......RH Hyundai is one of Ontario's highest volume dealers so imagine they were among the first in line. Will keep you posted should I visit next week as expected.

The car is in the dealer's lot, still wrapped up from the shipping. The interior is actually cashmere. Hyundai updated their website this week to show this option. I will post pictures on Tuesday when I take delivery...
It is also devoid of the "R-Spec" badge on the back; will ask about this when I get it...
Saw those awesome 19" rims! The blue colour is hard to decipher from black as the car was still very dirty on the outside...

I picked up my 5.0 R-Spec last night. Amazing car! The sales manager mentioned that the R-Spec at Richmond Hill Hyundai was actually a prize (promotion) for a hole in one at a golf tournament in town! I will write a comparison of my 5.0 R-Spec vs my '09 4.6 as soon as I get a chance to compare head to head...

That's the US web site. In Canada they have different options because there they don't offer the 4.6 engine at all. The only two choices are the V6 or the 5.0 V8.

Actually I was looking at the Canadian site. Twilight Blue exterior in the R-Spec is only available in Canada!

Sorry about the delay in replying. Too busy driving the 5.0L Beast !! The R-spec badge is there; its cashmere interior (with the wood accents; on the steering wheel as well and its blue)...and it goes ALOT faster than the 4.6 '09 Genesis I drove, especially above 4000rpm!
