  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Forgive me if this has been discussed here before. Today I saw a Brown Genesis on the road. Since the color wasn't offered in 2012 it must have been a 2013 or 2014. I would never buy a Brown car but it was a deep rich Brown, almost a black color. Very nice looking. Has anybody else seen one of these on the road?

It's now an option for 2014 Genesis models as with the 2014 Equus. It seems 2014 Genesis has some new grey colors and such too.

The night shadow brown is shown for the Genesis too when building but only 3.8 models.

Yes, the brown is shown just for the 3.8. I think the first thing the new Hyundai America CEO should do is to improve their crappy website. Navigation there rivals the Affordable Healthcare site.

Hello YES!!! Here is my 2013 Hyundai Genesis: Night Shadow Brown Exterior / Cashmere Leather Interior
Although this color was NOT offered on the web / info site for 2013, it does show in the 2014 info. Late production 2013 Genesis got this color.
By the way, when you order the touch-up paint for this color/VIN number it comes up in the system as "HYUNDAI GENESIS Paint Color " KONA BLACK"
Side Note:
When I called the dealer to inquire if this car was still for sale, I gave them the VIN number to check inventory and I explained it was a 2013 Brown GENESIS. He replied that Hyundai doesn't have a Brown color for 2013 in this model, he said it was Black, only 2014 GENESIS would get this color combo, so, I drove over to the lot, found it, bought it, and I think they are still scratching their heads! Black or Brown, 2013 or 2014. Anyway I got it, LOVE IT!!! YES!! It is Brown....

I hope that Hyundai finds its color mojo soon. They have the most boring color options I have ever seen for nice cars in my history of car shopping. It started with the Equus... just four colors: White, black, and silver/gray (I lump the grays and silvers together, because they are not too different). Then, they extended it to the R-Spec: White, black, and silver/gray. Now, it hit the standard 3.8.

Other car makers offer a few vibrant colors, even the cheap makes. Even the Avalon, possibly the most boring car in the world, has two choices of Red. They have nine exterior colors. And their silver and gray choices are way different from one another.

^ Amen! At least we have great colors, though. ,-)

Not likely, since the new CEO was head of marketing.

The only reason that I finally stepped up and bought my car was the late addition of a Cabernet Red to the offering for the R-Spec cars. In a few years, when a trade might be in order, it won't be to another Genesis unless the color palette has some better choices than is on the 2014 Genesis

In fact, the new Impala SS could be a very viable alternative with rear wheel drive and 400+ hp--------------and lots of color choices.
