A Questions about OTA updates

I have read on facebook that people in the USA have been getting the OTA update for wireless AA and Carplay.
I checked my settings and under software updates, this is what is says
OTA Update: Available But the update button is grayed out.

Now does "Update Available" mean that there is an update available or only that my car is capable of getting updates?

My battery is in the 50's, % wise so I am wondering because the battery is so low it will not let me update like my phone does?

I believe that only means you're setup to receive OTA updates, whenever they're ready.

The latest update for the USA is still Oct 12, 2023 according to Notice | Official Genesis Navigation Update Website

According to facebook, (Yes I know) the wireless update is a OTA update not associated with any map update. Many people have gotten it over the past few days. So who knows

Slow infotainment System

I was driving my car around this afternoon and noticed the infotainment screen was not moving between screens very fast. Then I noticed a spinning icon next to the connected services signal info. I have attached a photo and circled the item. Is anyone aware what this is? I was wondering if its...

Gonna take a while to download, probably big update, and they may be doing it in batches to save bandwidth.

I went out to my car last night to check and the update was already starting: (in the settings/.general/software). It said if I turned off the car, it would resume the next time I got in it. So I let it idol in my driveway for about 1/2 hour. I went out and it said to push the icon to install it and that the display features would be out of commission for about 20 minutes. I decided to wait until today to do that as it was about to rain.
Today I went out and went to settings/general/software and pushed the install button. The progress was already at 80% and it took about 15 min it total to install.
I followed the instructions to delete the existing bluetooth connection the phone (to the car) and then add the bluetooth back on the phone.
Then Android auto popped up.
Anyone want to buy a motorola wireless Android Auto device?

PS, i got a text and a email from Genesis immediately after the upgrade telling me my software had been upgraded.

I can't tell you exactly how long, but it is less than 1/2 hour. (I checked on my upload after 1/2 hour and it was downloaded.)
This is an upgrade to the maps features, but i am pretty sure it is not a new complete map set that you need to upload with a USB drive when it come out soon.

So- finally got it (Greenville sc)
Took a solid 90 minutes of driving over a few days to download and update.

CarPlay took 30 sec to install and works great.

The street names issue is NOT corrected.

This was not a map update, although it did update some features on the guidance. The map update should be out soon. Well, they have been saying that for 6 months now.

i don't even bother with that since i have an iphone 14 pro max, so not sure. Use a separate wireless charger mounted to the console for that. I would anyway, since i need to see my phone.

I never had an issue with that.

Mine has stopped resetting. Can’t say why. One guess is that changing the wireless setting did not cause it to save but I might have changed another setting at the same time and that triggered a save for both. Just a conjecture.

Curious how this OTA is queued. My 23 hasn't received anything yet. OTA works as I got one in April.
