  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

If lease rates on the G80 prove too high for my taste in a couple years, the 2018 Azera might become a viable option. :D

This wont be much cheaper than the G80 at all, really - if using current Azera prices as a point of reference. In fact - the G70 might even be cheaper - and if I am not mistaken - this essentially is the G70. It is also FWD and I do not know that it will be available as an AWD.

I would think that the G70 is going to be smaller than the Azera.

The Azera is more a Toyota Avalon competitor.

From the G70 spy shots, the G70 appears to be a different chassis/platform vs the 2018 Azera. Notice the distance between the front door and the front wheel well between the two. Aren't all Genesis products supposed to be RWD architecure?? The new Azera is probably based on the same platform as the new Cadenza, a car somewhat intriguing itself.

My guess would be a fully loaded Azera will be knocking on the door of the base G80 price. It will boil down to lease rates for me. I got an awesome lease on my current genesis. I just don't see that happening on the G80.

It's hard to tell comparing pics of the G70 with the Azera, but I'd bet the new Azera is very close to the G80 in interior space.

Probably true. The old Azera is pretty large also.

While the exterior of that car is very nice, the interior is hideous with that sloppy design of the Nav system screen and clock placement. But it doesn't matter because the reports are that is not for US consumption.

Fwd, no thanks.

Looks like a BMW 5 series front, with a Dodge Charger rear. Weird design but I think it looks cool.

RWD or AWD only though, if it's FWD, pass.

I like it and I think it's going to be a big hit for Hyundai - IF they price is right. I don't see why anyone would buy the Azera if it's not priced significantly lower than the Genesis G80. But I think this will make a really nice flagship and compete well with the Toyota Avalon or maybe even Lexus ES...

yeah, i'd tend to agree, that IP styling, particularly the nav screen, is hideous! hopefully some changes occur before the car gets here.

this new Azera does remind me a lot of the new for '17 LaCrosse.

I like it too, as well as the cockpit. That clock placement does look odd, though. I hope the US gets saddle colored seats like these.

That looks so much like it was plopped on for test purposes that I cannot believe they would actually release this in a vehicle in 2017/2018. If that goes to market, a whole range of people at Hyundai should be looking for another job. This is so hideous that I simply cannot believe this will go to market like that anywhere in the world ...

Officially announced by hyundai that this Azera will not be for sale in USA and Europe
