  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

AA & ACP release

It might be an error on their end as I got an AA update alert on myhyundai website yesterday but it changed to vehicle software update alert this morning (CST) with no download link available...

Same here, it changed for me over the night. But another user posted this link
https://www.hyundaiusa.com/myhyundai/softwaredownload/androidauto
Out genesis is listed now as a compatible model. This still gives me some hope . Im checking myhyudai site almost every other hour for the download link, it's annoying. I wish hyundai was better at communicating this information to its customers instead of sending out these vague alerts and nothing more.

My notification is the same as yours.

I have an Ultimate and I received the slightly different alert message

MAY. 25 2016 Your new Vehicle Software Update is now available (ST.LF.USA.E478.150901: Sep 1 2015 12:00AM)

Note that is says "Vehicle Software". Not sure what is being updated...

According to a Hyundai Canada twitter account, Android Auto won't be available to Canadian modes. Read below:

"... The Android Auto is only available for the 2017 Elantra and some other 2017+ models. There will be no updates for older models"

I have the non-Ultimate and also have that message today. I didn't look for an alert yesterday so no idea if it changed. Still no instructions how to download said update. I emailed Hyundai about how to do it, no response.

I haven't gotten any messages - this is through myhyundai.com? edit - nevermind, I just wasn't looking in the right place. I have the "Vehicle software update" message as well, no link to download.

I have the alert

Like i said in my previous post I have the internal doc from hyundai, tomorrow will be the release for not only us but for older elantra, tucson and santa fe owners

it's dated today and addressed to dealer owners and management

for us genesis owners we will need to pull our SD cards and use that to place the download onto, once done replace, go into setup, system, update

if you go into the dealer they are authorized to charge .4 hours for the update

cars that already have AA will get carplay tomorrow

Any idea if we can simply use an USB adapter to download the update? I don't have any devices which use SD slots available, kind of an older technology.

Also any news on when we can actually download it? I got the same message on MyHyundai that an udate was available, but I have no download link for my 2016 Genny. Conversely my wife's 2016 Sonata does have a download link, and she was previously updated so it's not an old update.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Any idea why some are getting update messages where the update is dated April 15 2016, and others such as myself have the update dated September 1 2015? I was previously fully updated so I know it's not an older update.

I was wondering this myself and I finally found it. Once logged into your account on myHyundai you'll see on the right hand side an area for "Service and Alerts." Mine updated this morning. If you follow the link you'll get the software update notice. The problem is that I can't find the download anywhere... yet... soon I hope!

Side note: I'm a little torn with this update. My phone charges through fast wireless charging so I don't have to plug a cable in. I will be a bit bummed about losing that feature since you have to plug in for CP or AA from what I understand.

Its available for my wife's 2015 Sonata with Ultimate package.
Downloaded already but haven't installed it yet. We're using iPhones, so will report back on Apple Car Play

Yes, it is available for me too. I have a 2015 Genesis with tech package.

downloading now...go to the link on the page before about the update, and click the login at the top right. do NOT use the blue "Sign into MyHyundai" or whatever below the image of the android auto.

I finally got the download tap on myhyundai.:D
It looks like I have to use SD card for Navigation.
