  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

AA & ACP release

I have a '15 Tech. Where will I find the SD card in my car? I've never noticed the slot for it before.

Center of the console below Bluelink and between Track^ and Phone. Just pull on the SD Map cover from the bottom, then push in on the card, it'll pop out.

Thanks for the info. I will sit back and wait until a pioneer reports success with Apple car play. I am too old to be an early adopter!

I just finished my update - it took about 30-45 minutes in the car, I forgot to check what time I started. I can't mess around with it right now, but I was able to get it to come up without issue. Also fyi - I have a Mophie battery case that uses USB to Micro USB charger (which plugs into the phone's Lightning charger), and I had no problems connecting.

Came from work now and saw the good news. Downloading right now but servers are too slow, calculating 1:15 hours to complete. Will drink a beer or two in the meantime.

I just downloaded the software and updated the SD card but before doing that I also copied the original data from the SD card to another folder on the computer. After the update I compared the folders, there is an new folder called Update which I assume is the update software. I also checked the other folders related to Navigation, the maps seems to be updated when compared to the previous map data. The latest map file is dated 4/15/2015, it is still not the latest but later date than what I had before. I did not check the Navi software version before getting the SD card so not sure if we are getting a map upgrade too. I haven't done the update in the car yet, will know the version at that time.

For those who already updated the software in the car, did you have to keep the engine running during the entire update? The instructions says that the engine need to turned on during the upgrade. Let me know.

Yes, the engine needs to be running all the time. I don't know if you can do it with a battery charger connected just like when updating maps.

Has anyone tried to do the download and update on a fresh SD card, and not use the existing SD card in the car?

Tried that first since my Mac wouldn't read the stock sd card at first. Upgrade works, but then you get an error about the nav card not being valid after rebooting. Popped the stock one back in only to have it tell me it was an older version. So,I had to keep inserting the stock card into my Mac until the upgrade app accepted it and I had to download the upgrade again to the stock card. Once I did that the nav was happy. Didn't have to run the upgrade in the car again, just had to download it to the stock card.

Can I update while the car is in motion? Thinking about doing this on the morning commute. Thanks.

Once again Canada is screwed regarding this whole ordeal. Canadian vehicles don't seem to be getting the download link on myhyundai.com. Going directly to the AA download page (from the link someone posted here) redirects back to the dashboard.

Not too surprising, considering Canadian Sonatas didn't get the ACP update either back when it was released for some 2015 trims. Nice going, Hyundai!

I didn't try my iMac , but went straight to my Windows laptop . It just failed writing to the SD card. Just the scenario , I wa trying to avoid, having the download fail, and leaving me with a corrupt SD card.
I will give the factory SD card a try tomorrow.

Yes you can, that's how I did it. But obviously the entire head unit won't work while updating including the reverse camera.

I gotta say, I'm a little underwhelmed after playing with it a bit. I mean, it's nice and all, but a lot of the big features I can already do by Bluetooth pairing - playing music, making calls, etc. Maybe I'll get some use out of the text-reading/sending feature, but the two biggest things I'd want - Waze and the Escort radar app - aren't available.

My old ass iPod normally occupies my USB port, and I can leave that hidden in the cubby with the cover closed, but using ACP, I need to have a visible wire and I'll need to relocate my phone holder (currently stuck on my fuse box cover to the left of the wheel). Maybe I'll learn to love it, but on first reaction, y'all with the Ultimates aren't missing much.

AA is VERY nice. Having Google maps instead of the atrocious onboard navigation is a dream come true, although I am also extremely excited that Waze is coming soon to AA. Police alerts and crowdsourced traffic right on my car screen? I'll take it. Plus they also announced AA over WiFi, goodbye wire! Very cool, well done Hyundai.

You all suck :-).

Using Google Maps on my Galaxy S7 Edge, vs Nav in the Ultimate: Yesterday, I asked Google where the nearest Chick-Filet was and in about a second it gave me the answer and provided the map with directions. This capability just does not exist with the Nav package. I sure wish Hyundai, or Google, or anyone who does retrofits, would figure out how to push Google Maps onto my, not so great, 9.2 inch Ultimate Screen, with the mentally challenged Atom processor.
