  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Aaargh !!! Look what i did to my Genesis - Need suggestions

that is not a bad price at all. by the time you gathered the materials to do it yourself you would have been about half of that or more. how did it turn out?

Yeah - I thought it seemed reasonable too. They initially wanted to repaint the whole bumper, but I talked them into doing just a spot treatment since it's in such an inconspicuous place.

I haven't had it done yet - they need it for a day and I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I expect to later this week. I'll post the "after" pics.

bpjax: Try Polishing Compound by Turtle Wax. I scratched my BMW and a friend of the family how used to work at a body shop gave me a can and it worked, I hope it works for you. I always keep some in my shed.

polishing compound wont work in this case because the scratches are clear through the paint. But for scratches that arent so severe polishing compound works great. But that is just one step of the process

You may have gotten it fixed already, but as I was looking for some other parts, I came across this website that is suppose to have touch-up paint that will exactly match your Genesis. They say you have to enter a color code...

The color code can be found on the VIN Plate which is located on the inside of the drivers door or on the drivers door pillar.

I was thinking of getting some to have on hand... anyway here it is. Good luck!
