My dealer is AutoNation Genesis, in Hardeville, South Carolina.
I have never had found a manufacturer or dealership so unresponsive to their customer needs in almost 70 years of car-buying experience! The local dealer's Service Department doesn't seem to understand the concept of "customer SERVICE".
1 When you call for Genesis Service, you're actually connected to their Hyundai Service Dept. It took 15 minutes of conversation before that service
person advised that I wasn't talking to the Genesis Service Dept., even though I advised them at the outset I was calling regarding my Genesis
vehicle! This has happened throughout the 26 months I've had the vehicle.
2 The Service Dept. advises they'll call back within 4 hours (why not handle the matter now??!!) and then they NEVER call back, even weeks later.
This has happened several times, including requests for recall service.
3 The Genesis Service Dept advises they'll have Valet Service pick up my car at a set date and time AND someone will call and text to confirm, and
NO ONE ever calls or texts to confirm, leaving me to wonder if they're even going to pick up the vehicle. I finally called the Dealership 45 minutes
after the scheduled pick-up time only to learn that the valet driver had left 30 minutes ago 15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time!
4 The dealership had been in a Hyundai building They demolished that building and built a new one, stating they'd have a separate Genesis
Dealership, but never created one, so now Genesis Service is still provided at the Hyundai dealership.
5 I pay my account directly EVERY MONTH ON A TIMELY BASIS. Yet the Genesis Finance Department (in CA) bills me monthly, advising my account
is past due, yet when I call them directly to review the matter, I am advised my account is absolutely up to date!
I have thoroughly enjoyed driving my 2022 GV70. Unfortunately for Genesis, I will never consider another one of their vehicles because of the MISERABLE way the AutoNation Genesis Dealership and the Genesis Finance Department have treated me.
