Well... you could certainly get the parts, but if Hyundai is like other manufacturers, the cost would be prohibitive. If the factory light assembly for HIDs is different (integrated wiring, motors for the swivel, integrated ballasts and ignitors), you're looking at ~$600 in the assemblies alone. Then there's the question of whether or not its compatible with the non-HID wiring harness, and how would the swivel lights behave with no steering input? Then you'd have to buy factory HID bulbs that are typically very expensive, like $250 each.
I don't know what Hyundai actually charges for a replacement bulb but on my other cars with HIDs the price is ridiculous compared to
aftermarket suppliers like DDM Tuning. For me, an
aftermarket kit cost me $80 shipped and took me around an hour to install with no instructions for the Genesis. Going with factory parts would require a much higher cost, more labor, and more parts and complexity.
Going with factory parts would be an order of magnitude more expensive. In my case, I could have just bought a car with the whole Tech package for an extra $1000! As it was, HIDs were the only thing I really wanted in the tech package, so I just bought a P+ and added them myself.
