  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Aftermarket Exhaust options!

its the best sounding exhaust by a mile
I like the Borla for the Stinger but even if the made it for g70 I would want evc.
My mistake I just reread my email chain and they state: kit includes
1. Mid Section X-Pipe : Second Cat. Delete
2. Racing Rear Muffler : Variable Sound (EVC) with Remote Control.

The photo on the website doesn't look to me that it has midpipe 2nd cat deletes. I will know soon. Mystery package lol
interesting. ill be waiting for a few pictures / videos

I havent heard any of these in person, but the Kunstwerk exhaust sounded the best IMO. It's got a deep guttural growl with very little wisp. I cant wait to hear your setup once you have it installed.

Me neither 😀

Maybe so, but 30HP and 30FTLbs for a simple bolt on is worth it IMO.

I'm on the fence whether I'll install any exhaust components onto my G70. Perhaps once the stock exhaust starts to fall apart years from now I'll go with a catback system, but until then I'll enjoy the nice quiet drone free interior. My last two cars, a 1993 Eagle Talon, and a 2003 Nissan Maxima both had full 3" stainless exhaust systems, and both were on the loud side, with annoying drone on the highway. Most of my driving is freeway/highway driving, so any kind of drone is a total deal killer at this stage of my life.

From a Stillen catback? If that's what they're claiming, your should run for the hills.

A mid-pipe (secondary cat delete) could get you those kinds of numbers. But not a catback.

Stillen has burned themselves in the Stinger community. They had a horrible roll out of their intake (taking money for pre-orders and changing the release date weekly, one part of the company blaming other parts of the company, etc). When we (customers) finally got the intakes in hand we all noted how horribly ill-fitting they were. Many people returned theirs for a refund.

Flash forward a few months, they decided to try their hand at a catback. They announced they catbacks were in stock and ready to ship. There was a single person on the forum who was brave enough to order it. After about a week they told him it wasn't available yet and they didn't know when it would be ready to ship. Of course he canceled his order.

Since then the Stillen rep has vanished from the forum (they haven't posted in nearly 9 months) . No one on the forum is running a Stillen exhaust. And when new "best intake" threads pop up (nearly weekly) Stillen is never mentioned.

Apparently they are a big thing in the Datsun/Nissan/Infinity community. Maybe they'll redeem themselves with you guys. I don't think they have much respect for the Korean 3.3tt market, though.

Dang, I had no idea. I was really liking the look, price, and performance numbers of the Stillen intake.

Even so, will be interesting to see what they come up with for the G70.

That's why I wanted an evc. Performance & option of to be quiet but I love exhaust sound.....

They are not going to come up with anything different. Intake will be the same and the exhaust will be the same maybe just a little shorter.
