  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Aftermarket Exhaust options!

Yeah... That damn Kato will not shut up about that exhaust over on the Stinger forum. Haha. Cool they make a G70 specific variant at least.

Funny you say that but they really do sponsor him. 82 Performance was looking for an “influencer” to help them expand their market and Kato is their guy for now lol. Thats why he’s done a million videos of the exhaust.

I"m leaning towards this one mainly due to price cant seem another EVC in this range. EVC is must for me otherwise my wife will divorce me.

anyone have one these? sound profile aside is maintec reliable brand?

whats the stock exhaust size? I just got Kuntswerk axelback (thx Rob), will it just be simple bolt up or do i need to order an adapter want to get everything ready for the weekend.

I’d assume it’s just going to bolt straight up. My ark midpipes did with my stock downpipes and stick cat back. Then the jun bl catback bolted straight to the ark midpipes

Has anyone had any experience with Xforce mufflers? I just purchased 2 mufflers with the ECV valves and going to install them from the axle back and bolt them to the stock flange at the rear axle. Total cost for install with the polished stainless steel mufflers and aluminum steel tubing is about $900. My goal is to get a different sound without going overboard on price. Any thoughts?

Thanks, Yes axel back for now. Will try to get drive clip.

Changing my intake this weekend will be set for mods for now. Will need catch can next and maybe down pipe

I probably won’t change my downpipes as I’m worried it will be louder than I would prefer. However, I also have an MBRP exhaust still in the box that I may return or sell but want to hear how my Xforce varex mufflers sound first. I’m hoping it will sound similar to your kunstwerk axle back.

Yea thats why I wanted EVC to quiet it down but 99% its going to be open. I enjoy the sound, makes driving more fun haha.

I found this interesting. I thought the muffler delete would be the louder option.

its probably cause the aftermarket stuff has bigger pipes and breathes much more than just removing mufflers.

If anyone is interested, I am selling a brand new MBRP cat back exhaust that is made for the Kia stinger. I just installed dual xforce EVC mufflers and have no use for it anymore.
It looks like it can be slightly modified to fit our G70 by simply cutting out about 3 inches of the runner pipe and modifying the dual tips to a single tip. I live in the Chicago area for pickup.

Any sound clips of the XForce EVC mufflers, and where did you tie into 12V? What muffler part number did you install? Thx!

How is the drone open and closed or mid position?

Dang I'm Chicago area but just got one few weeks ago.. Glws

So Google has failed me, and I just read through this whole thread. Looks like almost no US brand, or even overseas, makes an axleback for this car. Or did I miss something? Spending $500 on a Stinger one to pay a shop to install and modify it seems stupid. I also can't justify to my fiance spending 2k on an exhaust after convincing him to be ok with me buying a new car when were saving for a house and planning a wedding. It doesn't help that I'm coming from WRX/GTI ownership where parts are cheap and plentiful. If this car came with a factory active exhaust It'd be perfect. At this point I may see about getting a custom exhaust made locally, I just hate the idea of putting up the money and not knowing the results. Does anyone know of anything in the works that might launch in the next few months?
