  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Aftermarket Exhaust options!

Does anyone happen to know how to remove the chrome exhaust tips?
I see in some of the mods when people upgrade their exhaust to quad, the chrome piece needs to be removed so the pipes can fit.
I thought I'd ask before trying anything myself, don't want to mess it up!

Man that's a pretty penny for an exhaust. If you get one, you are hereby obligated to post a video.

For a custom axle back.
Any recommendations on resonator?
I know ID is 2.5". I'm looking into Vibrant bottle resonator 18".
Any thoughts on these two?

Thanks!

Well, I installed the GT-9 3.3T valvetronic exhaust over the weekend. So far I'm happy with it! Install was very straight forward and fitment is real good.

Right now I have it hardwired to the battery in the trunk so the little LED light on the cigarette lighter type connection is on all the time - not sure how quick that will drain the battery?

Any thoughts of what power source in the trunk could be tapped into so it only has power when the car is on/running? Maybe one of the tail lights? There is a fuse box in the rear passengers side of the trunk, but I'm not sure if tapping into any of those would be wise.

I attached to accessory wire with my Kunstwerk evc only on in acc. Or running. Installed about 2 years no problems.

What accessory wire did you attach to - where was it located?

If you typed something - it didn't show up :-)

So...is the G70 sound that bad? I had a buddy in Toronto test one...they gave it to him for 24 hours. He called me up...we even did FaceTime, etc. He put the phone up to the exhaust and I heard it purring. He then left the phone there and went to rev it. Thing sounded awesome.
Sounds good, but not super loud, and no crackles or pops

Hey guys I have an exhaust for sale if anyone is interested.

What do you have?
