  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Aftermarket stereo

Yes, have been using it and it works very well. The sound has a surround algorithm too and works great on the old speakers. The only caveat is a faint hissing noise that seems to get on my nerves until I start playing music.
I also got this professionally installed, realized that I couldn't get this done by myself. the radio antenna they gave wasn't a good one, so I had to order an additional piece at the stereo shop.
I’ve tried to take mine to a radio shop they looked at it and said it can’t be installed because i have the navigation tech package .

That can't be according to the vendor, in the examples on their site, they literally show the navigation display and this radio head unit side by side.

I have installed a Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX and it works great, but I am looking to find a solution to get my steering wheel controls back. Has anyone done this mod that his successfully integrated the steering wheel controls back?
I have tried the Axxess SWC-1, Pac modules cp2 and cp5 without any success. The Maestro SW is out as they only support the genesis coupe.
Did your head unit have the optical wires

I have the android unit installed but I would much rather the pioneer unit. How did you get it to stay in place the head unit that is

This was my solution...FiiO High-Fidelity Bluetooth Amp BTR5

You plug this unit into your aux and then pair your phone to it and your good to go.
This sounds easy way to get a high quality signal to base system, from phone.
I read the link for this DAC. So this takes care of not having Android play
ability of Head Unit?

Yep. SoCal. I recently came across this Android head unit which looks similar to the way I have the Pioneer head unit mentioned installed. I'll stick with my Pioneer lol. But thats another option if you want to swap it out. Maybe some place like Al & Eds or somewhere can do it for it. Looks like it comes connected to new trim.
Did you have to buy new trim or mounting hardware for the Pioneer ?
