  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am exploring the idea of getting a larger wheel for my 2012 tech package Genesis. I have found a set I like but they are sized for a Lexis IS350 which shares the same bolt pattern.

20x9 +38 front and 20x10.5 +45 on the rear 5x114.3. I wish the guy was closer than a couple hours away to test fit, I am just worried about them not clearing the breaks due to the concave wheel design. Anyone have experience with wheels of this size fitting without needing modifications to the offset to clear the brakes or rolling fenders?

Here are the wheels:

Thanks!

Fronts will fit assuming the clear the calipers. The rears won't even come close. And they will stick out past the rear fenders.

That's before taking into account the tire sizes.

Putting 20s on a Genny sedan would look like a polka-dot zebra. It's just wrong!

Looks like the perfect size to me. Not like we are driving cars the size of a Civic.

The stud pattern is correct, make sure the hub hole is 67.1mm for a Genny. I think many Toyotas have a 60.1mm hub hole.

Yeah make sure they are at least 67.1mm. Anything bigger can be handled with the appropriate hubcentric ring

Yeah, comment about putting 20's on a genesis is kinda retarded. Our cars are rather large and have more than enough room for a 20" wheel. Next, the offset on the wheels the op is looking at is not gonna fit right

I didn't think they would but with stock being 39mm and these being 45mm I thought it might account for the added width. I decided to pass and might opt for the Forgestars I posted later in this thread.

Good to hear. These wheels would have set in too deep, nearly an inch more wheel in the inside, probably wouldnt have cleared suspension components. Earlier comments that the wheel would stick out past the fender is incorrect. The more positive, the deeper the wheel is to the brake side. The more negative your are, the more wheel you have towards the outside. Positive you have to worry more about brake and suspension clearance, negative you have to worry more about fender clearance
