  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone,

I have a 2015 G2 sedan 3.8. I love the car but after a few months of ownership, I really think the car would look much better with an upgrade to either 19" or 20" wheels and use the stock 18" for winter only.

I have used online wheel visualizers, but they only give an idea of what they look like on the car and I cannot make any real determination using these tools. I also do not want to spend a fortune (less than $2,500) on a wheel/tire package.

Has anyone upgraded their stock 18" wheels, and, if so, did you go to 19" or 20"? As well, what types did you purchase? If you have pictures or links that would be great.

I would really appreciate any feedback and advice.

Thank you.

20's looks really nice on those cars. I have a lots of pictures with new wheels before the car was lowered and after.

My wheels are VELGEN VMB5 Matte Gunmetal in 20×9″ offset 35 front and 20×10.5″ offset 45 rear. Tires Nitto555 255/35/20 front, 285/30/20 rear. No rubbing at all.

Iirc, wheels, tires, tpms sensors set me at ~$2800

If you're near SW burbs, we could meet up, so you could see them in person and take a ride to see if you like "little bit" stiffer than OEM wheels/suspension.

Let me know if you would like to see some pictures.

Hi dareckibmw,

Thanks for the reply. Please post a few non-lowered pictures (they are very nice wheels).

Do the wheels (especially the rear), stick out from the fenders more than on stock?

Thanks.

Very nice. My car is Parisian Grey, so I wonder whether the silver or gunmetal would look better?

I went with gunmetal, because it makes the car look more aggressive....not to mention they match the paint. Parisian Gray looks almost the same as Empire State Gray.

I wanted to have something different, since the 98% cars have silver-ish wheels.

dareck i just realized you werent lowered anymore.. Are going with a setup? different coilover?

Dareck and I are both in Chicagoland as well. I have seen his car in person and it looks quite nice with the wheels :) I myself will actually be putting Equus wheels on my white 2015 after the winter. I've always loved the turbine/fan style...

Parisian Gray, fastest color out there, good pick!

Here is ours, Parisian Gray, 5.0 with 20 in Zenetti Venice 2-piece forged wheels in Satin black:

That's a great idea...a set of those in anthracite would look slick on my car:)

That does look great. The only thing I'd dread is cleaning them!

You know the size and offset of the equus wheels pictured here? I remember seeing it on the forum before

Lowered

Here is a link to my thread when I got new wheels and lowered my car. The beginning of the thread is my first set of springs. A couple pages down are pictures of when I got my current, more aggressively lowered springs. Dareck is on my first set. I'd rather post the link than post the same pictures that everyone has already seen since I have no new pics.

Hi all,

I am considering purchasing the 19" Equus turbine wheels for my 2015 G2 Genesis Sedan 3.8 AWD. The specs for my current & Equus wheels are the following:

Current:
8 X 18, offset 36

Equus (staggered):
8 X 19, offset 31
9 X 19, offset 36

Will they fit?

Thanks.
