  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just recently started drafting a new Charity/Donation Campaign for College students who have been forced to drop out of their colleges here in Chicago due to medical reasons. So that one day they can afford their medical deductibles and premiums, prescriptions etc. and further treatment to stay in school.

That and I designed the interior trim to the 2012 Genesis.. :) And could really use some compensation for that.. wink wink Stacy.
I'm also doing an overhaul of the front BMW Kidney Grille & entire front ends for the 7 Series, 5 Series and a Secret Series I don't want to mention yet, I've been working on that one for roughly 6-8 years now.

Someone inside BMW is onto me though!

Nice, one of my fellow GAD majors at my college is a retired USMC, 4 years in Iraq & Afghanistan.. Left when he was 18, got back when he was 22..

I met him the first time when he hadn't even been back 10 days and already in college, had no idea he was so fresh off the boat.
My salutes and respects.

He's probably not retired, unless he received a medical retirement, as you normally need to serve 20 years in order to retire, and Iraq/Afghanistan didn't start until after 9/11.

I'm sure he came home with a lifetime's worth of experience in his 4 years over there. He's probably done and seen more by age 22 than many people will in a lifetime.

That was my outlook on it, I trained in the NSW program for 8 months when I was 18 turning 19, made it through indoctrination, made it through BUDs, then they slapped the 10 year minimum contract down and said no further without touching pen to paper, couldn't do it. Though he was USMC.. he still deployed, has no idea how valuable he is as a game developer these days!

Regardless, I guess I didn't mean "retire", he's just not going back and completed his required tours, they asked him on his way back, "so do you want to go to college?" Grabbed him and took him right in..

Anyone who serves in the sand pit and for more than one tour or even one, has long since paid any debt they'll ever incur.

Really surprised to see so many high achievers and even fellow military retirees.

We got married in 1957 at the base chapel, Chennault AFB in Louisiana and still together.

I like to drive different cars. Since we retired, we are down to only one car. Can't get enough milage for more than one. Next one will probably be either a Genesis or a Volvo.
