Does the alarm go off if the glass is broken, and what exactly does the alarm do? Had some car break-ins recently in my area.

The alarm will not go-off is a glass is broken. Modern alarms have very serious anti theft systems and it wouldn't be easy to switch off.

The alarm does not go off with broken glass , I had a breaking recently.
