In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Any advice on what are the most effective mats and where I can get them from?

I searched here and it appears that 2011 mats are not yet readily available online. Amazon had one seller.

The local dealer has quoted $66+$50, so $116 for all four mats.

Thanks!

I saw these on Amazon.

Lloyds had a good reputation for quality on some of the other boards i used to frequent.

hi, thanks a lot for locating the mat and sharing the link.

would you advise these over what the dealer is selling. the dealer will be $120 vs $100 for these with shipping included.

Anyone have any opinion or experience with these mats. Really waiting for the Weathertech for '11 Genesis but so far, no word.

Check out Hexomats ( http://www.hexomatsfloormats.com/) - I've used them in several cars, and I like them a lot. They look good (to me, anyway) and hold a lot of water/snow/junk. They also have a good trunk mat that fits Genesis perfectly. The black mats look terrific in my black interior, and the tan I had in another car also fit correctly and looked good.

Thanks DG-just ordered color samples from them.

@tompass - i was getting ready to order also - the mats that DG advised.

how did you order color samples?

I've used the Lloyds mats for three years in my '09 Genesis and have no complaints. I was a WeatherTech guy previously, but the Lloyds mats work fine. They don't have a raised lip around the perimeter, but there are enough concave "cups" built in to capture a lot of water. And the custom fit is superb. I must be satisfied, as I just ordered another set for my wife's new Vera Cruz.

One thing some people complain about is a nasty plastic-y/chemical odor when they're new, but if you air them out for a few days before putting them in car, they should be fine.

The Hexomats look to be comparable in design and quality, but I don't have first-person experience with them.

Response from Custom Auto Accessories regarding the mats:

Tom,

Thank you for the info. Weather Tech mats will visually overpower the
beautiful Genesis. Way to heavy handed for the vehicle. Hexomats
will seamlessly integrate visually with the vehicle and provide
tremendous protection from liquids and debris. Hexomats will not
allow the water to move as you drive, no runners or edges / ledges to
trip on.

Please feel free to pass on to your fellow Genesis Forum members that
we, CAA, have the lowest prices and best service in the USA. I will
also provide you and your members an additional 5% off. When you
order put.....Plus5..... in the coupon code box.

Please understand that I do not think
Weather Tech is a poor compnay or a poor product. That is not the
case. Weather Tech is a fine product but it overpowers a luxury
vehicle's appearance and allows liquied to move throughout the mat
area while the vehicle is in motion. It also does not custom fit the
vehicles in the same exact fashion that the Hexomat Auto Mat patterns
provide.

Thank you for being a valued CAA customer.

Best regards,

Rich

Regarding grommet holes:
Tom,

Yes, just like OEM mats. You need only select "Yes" for Grommets

Hexomats.
As stated above they do smell bad out of the box.
They are not a perfect "custom" fit as the site states. (at least in my experience) My rear mats fit poorly, and I only have one set of grommet holes in the front.
Other than that they do the job well for the price.

FYI

Thanks for the heads up. The gentleman I spoke said they did have two holes and website has a check box for same. I will check again before ordering. Waiting now for the samples.

Don't usually add my two cents to the threads found here but since I've gotten some great information from this forum, thought I'd give it a spin. I traded my 2003 BMW 530i in for a 2011 4.6 and had experience with the Hexomats in the BMW. Anyone who knows the weather in the Pacific Northwest knows it can be a touch damp at times. The Hexomats, while they looked OK, could never effectively deal with all the water dragged into the car during the rainy season, say October to July. The mats I owned did not have a raised lip, and while some water was caught by the pattern of the mat, alot worked its way around and into the carpet. I used Weathertech's univeral all weather mat as a replacement and they worked better. They didn't make their digital fit mat for my model year.

I have used Weathertech's digit fit in a lot of other cars and love the way they protect the carpet liner. I waited for months until the Weathertech site showed availabilty for the 2011. I was concerned when they arrived to find one the one anchor whole instead of two. But, not to worry, the mats fit great, the one anchor hole lines up perfectly and the other anchor is covered without causing the mat to bulge. As for the look of the mat being too overpowering for the interior, the black mat looks just fine with the interior. Thought you folks with 2011 and 2012 models would like a heads up.

The ongoing concern of course with Weathertech is the lack of availability of the the two grommet mat. Seems your experience is that the one hole mat hold fairly well. Something to consider.

Tompass, since installing the mats I have seen no movement, shifting, or binding whatsoever. The retainer snaps into the retaining hole firmly and has not come undone, except when I've removed them for cleaning.

Sounds encouraging. Waiting for Hexomat samples but also just realized that there are two different Weathertech mats and the Digital fit mat is the better one.

I assume they also only have the one grommet hole?
