Actually it does help you turn also as the front wheels on awd pull you in the proper direction as opposed to the front wheels being pushed by the car into a turn with rwd.![]()
If you have no traction then it won't help you at all. We have a 2015 WRX we bought last week that comes with summer tires that were were hoping to wait on having to replace until next year since its the end of winter but no such luck. I slid everywhere in my 2.5 mile drive earlier today. Its all about tires.
