  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a slight scratch on one of my alloy wheels 2013 sedan. No dent, just a scratch. The local alloy wheel repair shop wants $75 for about a 2 minute touch-up. Does anyone know where I can purchase the paint to touch up the wheel and what color is the correct match?

Thanks...

Try curbrash doctorguys or Google it. They're mobile and could come to your house or where you work.
They do decent job and charge less than body shop.
Typical fee is $50/rim.

I had great service from Quick Touch on matching the color of the 2015 Genesis wheel which is two-tone. They initially sent me the silve rim edge color after I had asked for the interior grey (apparently after they were assured by Hyundai in Hong Kong that was correct). When I advised that it didn't match what I requested, they asked for pictures of my wheel and then mixed a new color and sent it to me free of charge. At only $9.95 for a tube with brush including shipping, it's a very reasonable alternative to a professional repair. Nothing will completely match the factory finish of course. See http://quiktouch.com/Car-Alloy-Wheel-Repair-Touchup-Paint/Hyundai-alloy-wheel-touchup-paint, but make sure you tell them it's for the 2015 wheel (and whether 3.8 or 5.0) and if you want the inner or outer color.

thanks for the three responses....I will look into the Curbrash Doctors and Quick Touch

So your wheels are worth about $500-600 each and your talking about trying to save $50 bucks or so --- its not that easy to fix. So you have a nice car fix it right.Come on . thanks
