  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Am I too young for a Genesis?

Get the best of both worlds and do what i am going to do...Gen Coupe V6 :D
Why do you want a car like that ? I love the audio in it and wish it would be a feature in the coupe.Yes i could afford it but really don't need a car that size and i have 3 teens.70% of the time i drive alone anyhow.
Look at the Genesis Coupe V6,you may change your mind.

I still think a guy in his mid-20's should invest his money for the future. And I'd suggest a nice off-lease car with about 15-20K miles.

Given my latest investments, I would have been better off buying the Genesis..I'm sure I lost more in the market than I would have in the vehicle in the past year.

I'm still waiting for the V8, thought the 6 is tempting. And, yes, I can afford the Lexus but I don't really need the snob factor in exchange for $20K.

In regard to buying a larger car before your time -- I held off buying a land yacht (Suburban) as long as I could (age thing), though after having one, I would never go without one again. I have never ever heard of anyone complaining that their car was too big (except, maybe, for parking in Toyko).

Also of consideration for all -- the 2 yr off lease M45's are dirt cheap now (roughly $25K in AZ), and I suspect they'll be a bit cheaper when the V8 Genesis lands.

I am strongly considering owning a M45 for a year, then trading it in for the Genesis when they come out with the 5L (and hopefully with the minor issues fixed -- 40G HD, leaking trunk, warm back seat, and cooled passenger seat).

Best of luck to all!

I am 26 and I'm strongly considering the V6 Tech Package Genesis. I'm not married and no Kids. I waiting until the demand goes down and Hyundai will start rolling out the big incentives. I would suggest everyone that would spend more $20K for a car to keep it at least 7 to 10 years. Therefore I want to get a car I can grow to. The problem when people buy smaller cars to acomadate them for the RIGHT NOW like the IS 250 and the BMW 3 is that they will out grew them quickly. Alot can happen in 7 to 10 years. Get married, one..two...three kids. We are at the growing stage in our lives I hate for you to get the IS 250 and get married have a kid and have trade off in three years because it has then become to small. Just makesure you can comfortly afford the Genesis.

That is why I lease--freedom to change every few years. Hyundai has a decent lease program if you can find a dealer not charging any 'market adjustments.' I do 2 year leases and love having the ability to have a new vehicle. Even if you don't like it, you only have it the length of the lease :)

Dannns: When I was 27 I bought and loved a Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance. It made my Genesis look like a Camry - but I loved it and on the weekends (since I don't drink) my friends loved traveling on my "cruiser".

Therefore, I have always bought the car that I liked, age appropiate or not!
