  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Analog Clock Resetting

Same issues as others- just started yesterday. The reset didn’t work for us....neither did removing SD card.

If the fix outlined in Post #35 doesn't work for you, I am updating my original post (#20) as follows:
My car was serviced today at the dealership, which informed me that they had already received an email from Hyundai/Genesis about this problem and had also received calls from several other similarly affected customers very recently. I was told that the problem was apparently some kind of glitch or issue with the GPS system used by Hyundai/Genesis. (That explanation makes sense given all the reports on this forum.) Although my car is more than 3 years old, and is therefore no longer covered under the 3 year/36,0000 mile warranty on radio/navigation equipment, the dealer nevertheless performed what the work order described as an "on board system update" at no charge. (I presume, and appreciated, that they waived any otherwise applicable non-warranty charges in light of the email that they had already received from Hyundai/Genesis acknowledging that the source of the problem was not in the vehicles themselves.) The time and date settings were restored and are working properly. The dealer believes it was a "one off" incident which shouldn't recur, but I was told to bring the car back if I experience the problem again.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
There are a couple of posts in another thread where it was fixed by taking out the SD card for a minute and putting it back in, while the car is running.
Tried that, made no difference. Also unable to set time manually with SD card removed.

Others did a reset and it worked Worth a try as it only takes a few minutes.

Mine does not show digital time but analog works. Reset did not work nor did removing sd card.

Just spoke to Blue Link who confirms a system-wised problem between the GPS and the car's "head unit". No solution found yet and no advice on how to fix. Best I could get was call back in a week if not fixed automatically.

The fix that worked for me with my 2015 Genesis is the following:

1. Start engine, drive outside, and engage GPS to direct you to a local address (to make sure GPS is seeing the satellite).
2. Locate the reset button next to the "Sirius XM" logo on your NAVI control console. (not on the screen -- this is a tiny button
you will need a small object to press_.
3. Press and hold the button for 5-10 seconds.
4. After being dark for a couple of seconds, the screen will come on and the NAVI system will reboot.
5. About 30 seconds later, the analog clock will reset itself and the time will appear on your NAVI screen.
Just tied this twice and it didn’t work for me.

Same thing happened on my 2015 Genesis! Going to try JiminNashville solution.

This worked for me. I followed your instruction to the dot and the clock is working fine. The option in the clock setting is also back to normal. Thank you very much.
