  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Android app updated June 17. Added a few features and bug fixes and performance enhancements.

I email the app group last week asking when the battery drain was going to be fixed. They acted like it wasnt an issue. I emailed them back and told them to look at the reviews and see all of the complaints about the battery drain. Hopefully this helps.

I don't have any battery drain issues on the Genesis App. What phone do you have?

I saw the updates last night and I really liked them. The menu is now fixed and pretty and the MVR is working and looks great now.

Thanks for the info though I auto-update my apps so I am always up to date. I don't know if they ever fixed the battery drain issue as I just got in the habit of hard killing it after using it. For those that don't know, the Android version would sometimes (often) run in the background and keep the GPS active which would smack the battery on the order of an extra 5% an hour. If I started my car in the morning at 7am, by 4pm my phone was hurting and would be down to 20-30%. I have a Galaxy Note 3 which is known for great battery life.

what is the point of using the Genesis App? It looks like it does the same thing as the Bluelink App

I have a silly but still annoying issue using the Genesis App on my Nexus 6. I cannot for the life of me click on the "Do Not Show Again." on the tutorial to stop it from coming up every single time. So every time I start it, I have to swipe through the demo.

The Bluelink app didn't use to work with the Genesis. It does now but I think the Genesis app looks better.

App is a battery killer on my 1+1. I try to remember to kill the process after using it.

I used to use Genesis app b/c bluelink app didnt work with genesis when I purchased it. Looks like they fixed that and bluelink app works with our genesis plus it works with smartwatches (moto 360). I just got my moto 360 lastnight and been autostarting my car using my watch! I love it!
