  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I had a 2013 for three years and the car had not a single defect of any kind in that time.

I have now had a 2015 for a year and in that time the car has gone completely dead overnight on six occasions. On each occasion the car was recovered by jumpstarting and then the dealer kept it with him for troubleshooting (on one occasion for ten days). On the first occsion the battery was changed but no explanation has ever been found. On this last occasion there is a new wrinkle as the car will not respond to jumpstarting. The dealer will collect the car on Monday and perhaps the fact that it is completely dead this time will aid troubleshooting

If nothing can be found I would like to move ahead. I'm not sure what I want just yet, perhaps a return of the bulk of the money and say goodbye to the brand.

In any case, I know some of you have been down this road before so I would be gratefulfor any advice as to what does or doesn't work when approaching Hyundai for redress.

Sounds like you may be leaving the trunk open. ????

Do not lock your car by pressing the lock button on your trunk.

Is there a specific reason you suggest that? Has it been known to cause issues or something?

Never been an issue with my 2015. I find the lock button on the trunk quite handy...

Ditto, must be us HTRAC owners.

Such a unique position to be in as a Canadian Eh!?! Hehehe... Normally, we just don't get the cool stuff like other countries.

I have been having this problem as well. For me its the black box over the positive terminal on the battery that's causing the issue. It get loose for some reason and Im not sure why. Next time it happens wiggle that box and see if it comes back to life. To me it seems like the clamp that connects over the terminal is small and doesn't get a tight grip. My problem was I would attempt to start the car and all power goes out. I am about tired of mines as well with the sunroof rattle and I can't seem to get a camber kit for it yet. My wife has one and with only 12000 miles he PSD light has come on for no reason and had to have the fuel control module replaced. ( I know your thinking seat belt and fuel don't go together but with this car it does. LOL

If you have an electrically operated trunk lid, you'll have the lock button. You'll see it on the under side of the trunk lid once open, right beside the Trunk Close button. Press the lock button and the car doors lock, the mirrors fold inward, the trunk closes, and the auto entry system is engaged (meaning that the mirrors automatically fold back out upon sensing your presence with puddle lights illuminated AND the trunk auto-open feature will also be activated by placing the proximity key near the trunk for a few seconds).

I had a fuel pump module go out. The symptom was the ESC indicator. The tech explained that the CANBUS system can sometime show a wonky unrelated warning from another system. At the same time my outside temp indicator was failing, and sometimes the window would not roll down. Once the fuel module was replaced, all was well.

Does anyone know where the fuel control module is specifically? I'm having the PSB error, temp sensor error and stuttering.

So, the Hyundai dealer had my car for almost a week. Called me in disbelieve when he told me that Hyundai Tech line recommend replacing the fuel control module. I laughed... and said, I told you guys people online have said this is an issue. Sigh.... Anyway.... I'm getting my car back today and I'll be starting to put my fog lights and led headlights in.....
