Remember me? I'm fortune cookies LOL. (I got that punk bitch fired too btw. Just an update.)

Some bitch joyriding my car while I was waiting for a service at Genesis in Augusta, GA.
Another employee called him to ask where the f$%k my car is (I didn't even know at this point) and he lies LOL.
Speeding, revving the f$%k out the car, no seat belt.
I spoke to the manager and got this bitch fired on the spot.
Can I write a formal complaint to Genesis USA?
Not sure how to.

Should I feel bad? HAHAHA

2. Genesis USA wont do much, they can barely keep their dealerships in line as it is, but posting this video on YouTube and calling out the dealership will. If the guy was fired on the spot, do you have a remaining beef with the dealership that you want resolved? If the dealership handled it to your satisfaction I would take it down or remove the dealership name. Shitty employees exist everywhere
3. No you should not feel bad. At all. Thankfully youre smart enough to have a dashcam and they arent smart enough to notice

I try to diagnose any issues myself or through forums before I take it to the dealership and they treat me like some 90 year Korean grandma who doesn't know anything about cars (sorry grandma)

Oh yea if they are a shitty dealership in general and there is a systemic issue at play then go nuclear. I dont blame you, no one would. Its the only way they will learn/change. Not that it should be up to you to take that on, it sucks all around.
 
OP has me seriously considering a dash cam. i always monitor the odometer before/after service, but that doesn't provide much intel into what happened with the kms registered.
 
I’d be really pissed too. Idiot driving the car with a dash cam and not knowing it....got to be a woodshed close by for that SOB. I’d use whatever media you can to be sure folks know what kind of employees the dealer has. Setting the BOV off multiple times is a pure lack of respect for other people’s stuff. You know this is not his first power-jack joy ride.

If you have Genesis Connected Care/Remote or Hyundai Blue Link, you can turn on Speed Alerts and Geo-Fences for your vehicle. I use this every time I valet. Ran into a similar issue with a young kid at a hospital valet. The absolute LAST place you should speed around. Kid lied, so I showed his boss the alerts on my phone, then left.

Haha I like that. I don't wanna be a total ass though (not calling you one either). I was going to let this incident slide tbh and not say anything about it. BUT I was HEATED.
 
Going back to the fortune cookie incident - typical stupid racist remark, even dumber as fortune cookies are a Japanese-American take on a traditional Japanese confectionery which was adopted by Chinese-American restaurateurs (those that catered to non-Chinese diners).
 
I saw that article yesterday and had no clue it was a forum member, that's crazy.

The comments are ridiculous though. The two people involved (you and the dealership) both agree this was a problem and hence the employee was fired. Why is everyone else chiming in?

The fact that most of the comments are saying 'the joyride wasn't THAT bad' really shows how idiotic they are. The point is he went on a ride without a service related reason, which just should not happen, end of story. It only adds insult to injury that he clearly rode out the gears when cold and had zero concern or respect for your car. f$%k him.

Oh and that comment by 'therealist', oh man.

I'm getting upset on your behalf. I know others are saying pursue this but I personally think you should just put this to bed. He was fired. If there's no lasting damage to your car then I would just save the energy and move on. Not worth your time.
