  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2010 Titanium Grey 4.6 - Tech Pkg. I am realizing that I have relied on
the chime to alert me that "HEY DUMMY, YOU LEFT YOUR LIGHTS ON!".
I've had the car only a few days and am really enjoying it. I really don't miss the 2007 Benz E 550! Just a different kind of a ride. 6 horsies less, but torque on this one starts at a higher RPM, but this one's a lot more fun. I can't seem to remember to turn the lights off.... as I drive with them on in the daytime her in So. Orange county California. Anyone know of a setting I'm overlooking?

Do you have a 2010 TECH? If so mine has an auto on/off setting for the head lights.

Hi Fiat, thanks for responding. Do you mean the 'auto off' function? If so, I have that, but it doesn't trun on the headlights in the daytime.
I'm hoping for that little (sometimes annoying) bell to ring if I get out of the car and lights are on.

The lights on my car go off when the car is off, so no need for a chime - they simply don't work.

Thanks, guys, I see what you were both trying to tell me.

I get it now. No need to be reminded that the lights are on...

.... they'll turn themselves off. Got it.

Now I gotta' go see if they'll come on if left in the on position earlier.
