Any in-car apps on 2016 Genesis?

Does the 2016 Genesis have any in-car apps? The 2015 does not and I assume if the 2016 had them, they would also be available on the 2015, but I thought I would ask. The whole app thing seems like an unfulfilled feature promise. It also makes the WiFi feature rather useless.

I would not hold my breath for a tsunami of apps from Hyundai.

I believe CarPlay and Android Auto were to take the role, although the release on these models has been delayed beyond anyones expectation. Auto manufacturers are notoriously not good at that stuff and past U/I in cars proves that point. App developers will rally around a sustainable platform (Apple, Motorola) before they commit resources to developing for a specific car, where standards and compatibility are the wild west.

I agree. It's a bit hard to imagine what kind of apps other than music sources such as Heart Radio would be offered anyway -- or anything that is not already available though your smartphone and Bluetooth. I had a number of such apps on my 2013 Lexus GS and never used them. Those that were the most useful were also available through SiriusXM.
