  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I use my Navigation system and I am entering an address, it would seem to me, that the correct order would be to enter the City before the street. Is there any way to change this order?

If not, could someone explain to me why it makes more sense to enter the street before the city?

I do not know of a way to change it with manual entry. However, when you use voice commands it asks for the city first.

Many nav systems do it this way. Maybe the logic is that it takes fewer keystrokes in general to go for street first. I agree though, that it would be nice to have the option to choose.

The order entry in manual is completely wrong and I have not seen anyone post a way around it. Try putting in Main Street in a large state and there is no way you will find what you need. In my opinion, this NAV feature and the lousy interface on the iPod are the two worst things about Genesis and they have had several years to fix it and they don't. That's frustrating, but if that's the worst things then I guess it's not too bad.

The workaround is to use the voice command starting with "Enter City" and then follow along.
