I'm definitely happy with my purchase. Thinking back on it the Lexus had quite a few negatives:
Bit more cramped on the inside
Trunk was tiny
blind spot assist had no audible alert
The infotainment system was horrible, you had to use this weird mouse like thing that was not very accurate to drive a cursor on screen, yeah can you say accident? It was fairly unintuitive also when I played around with it.
Probably the strongest decider for me was I couldn't get over how much it looked like a Camry/Avalon with a slapped on aftermarket grille and ground effects. For that kind of money I want something unique and luxury looking.
Congrats. I had enjoyed my past Lexus GS and was worried when I went to the Genesis I would miss my old cars. But I have found the Gensis is truly better in many ways and has more features and better technology. I think it looks better as well, a more cohesive design. I think you made the right call between the two.
not only that, the dh is a truly large full size sedan. at about the same mpg. so u get a large sedan with the mpg of a midsize sedan.
the dh is not a stretched out midsize, it truly is a big car. the differences are obvious.
Well I'm now realizing that gas mileage suffers with the sport mode. I know it's obvious, but it's more drastic than I thought. I don't have a heavy foot (mostly, lol) and do mostly highway driving but am finding I'm about 16.5 mpg average, I was hoping to be a bit higher maybe like 18 or 19 in sport mode.
I refuse to drive in any other mode though, sport mode is just too much fun. I wish you could adjust the steering/suspension independent of the transmission shifting, that would resolve the issue.
Oh well, it's only a couple more bucks at the pump I suppose. I know it's ok with regular, but are you guys putting in premium fuel to get a bit more power out of it?
