  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just like the title, im wondering if anyone has tried to put 17 inch rims on the 2015 Genny. Looking into snow tires and rims, and the common thing to do is downsize an inch and go with a more narrow tire as well as a higher sidewall.

I don't think it will clear the caliper - but will check tomorrow.

You might want to read the Caution note below. If some other part of the car is damaged due to changing the tire sze, it would not be covered under warranty. Just something to keep in mind.

You are correct, downsizing is very common when it comes to winter wheels. You almost need to have the shop test fit before purchase as clearance of the calipers may be tight. I did install 17" wheels on my 2012 5.0 rspec which has even bigger calipers than the 2015 V6 so it can be done. Don't ask what brand as they were Chinese knock-offs @ $125 each.
