  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was just looking around and went to the app download section of my Genesis. I have never found anything there but this time there were 6 apps available. I downloaded a couple of them and they worked. Have they always been there and I missed them or are they new?

Thanks
PaulM

What did you download? There's not a Spotify app available is there? Are the apps only available if you have a BlueLink subscription?

Do you have to connect to Home WiFi, or they were automatically downloaded through BlueLink? One time I connected to Home WiFi, and then tried to initiate downloads. I forgot what the message was, but it would not do it.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

What were the 6 apps? I thought there were 3 (Alert Service, Pandora, Aha) available on the 2015 Genesis as of a month ago. I haven't checked since then.

The apps available were:

Car Care
Alert Service
Yelp
Location Sharing
SoundHound
Aha radio

It downloaded Aha Radio through my home wifi to the Genesis.
I then downloaded the Aha Radio app to my phone.
I started the Aha radio at the Genesis, it then started the Aha app on my phone through blue tooth and the phone downloaded a song and sent it to the Genesis by blue tooth.

If you understood that, you are better than I am and I was the one who wrote it.

After looking at all the apps I don't see any of them that I will use.
Hopefully this is indication of something more useful in the future.

As I have stated in earlier threads, I dot think Hyundai should be in the software business and CarPlay and AA were probably meant to fill that void. There is a graveyard of automotive app systems and in general, car makers are good at that stuff. I would not lose sleep waiting for these BlueLink apps - they are likely slow to come if at all.
