  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

au revoir Genesis

Opportunity cost always is an investment. The money I spend on the car could be spent somewhere else. The car pays me back in starting every month to allow me to make money, in peace of mind when I take my family vacation every year. Then every day when you get into your car and you feel good, there is nothing else that replaces that. I am a car enthusiast though. So the small things pay me back about my vehicle. The reason I say it is a big investment is because I believe I can get that same enjoyment out of another Genesis.
We all spend money on things we enjoy or that make us feel good, and I am not suggesting that you don't spend money on such things, but an investment is by definition something that (potentially) increases in value or at least keeps up with inflation.

And don't forget that once that sucker is paid off you have a that money in hand every month.
I haven't made a car payment since 1987, but it doesn't put money in my hands. It just takes less money out of my hands.
