  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
A quick, temporary fix (as in it may and probably will happen again) is to pull the large yellow fuse located in the interior fuse panel, driver side. The good thing is that it's only happened maybe 6 times over three years...only once since I learned of this little trick and the trick worked!

I found the info in this thread: http://www.genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/showthread.php?t=10085

Thanks Vince you saved me a lot of wasted time at the dealer as I would have to leave it there rather then teaching the service advisers the tricks.

Mine has done it 6 times in 6 months the dealer tested it and did some kind of brown wire test and it has a problem booting up and seeing the other heads and has no sound on anything so they are putting in a new amp I have talked to other people and that seems to solve the problem or you could keep pulling the fuse but I was worried they would say that caused the amp to fail. Most dealers will try to figure out anything to make the problem not covered by warranty

If you mess around and the 36 month warranty expires on it you may wish you let them throw parts at it. My radio just got fixed on my 2009 . They installed two of the amps in the trunk that the so called Factory expert techician said was the problem and then had to replace everything else since the amps were not the problem. The head unit is around $3000 I have heard. So if you are having problems and they do not have a history of it you might regret it unles you do not keep your car very long. I had with this problem for a long time and it only would happen if it was cold out.It will be your dime or should I say $3000 or more out of your pocket

Thanks everyone for your help . I did call my local Hyundai dealer and talked to a service adviser he was actually was up on the problem said if it continues they will put new amps in and whatever else . I will hold them to taking care of the problem. Timeout I printed out the directions and will try to use it next time it happens will update you on that.
