  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently bought an R-Spec and found myself on a steep incline and figured to test the auto hold by taking my foot off the brake. I was surprised when the car started rolling backward and I couln't find any way to engage the auto hold. I consuted my owners manual and could not find any reference to the auto hold feature. Can anyone help me with this.

There is a switch next to the electronic emergency brake that must be engaged. Default is off. The blue light should be on and the message "auto hold" should appear on instrument panel in white. When engaged, turns to green letters. This is on an '11 4.6.

Auto Hold button has to be turned on for it to work. Default is off. I use this feature alot when I park in uphill/downhill seattle downtown.
