is it getting better or worse ? For 2021/ 2022 Genesis in general. And the G80 in particular.
Per Parts Supply;I think we are starting to see a few more vehicles trickle in, but be forewarned, parts supplies are non-existent right now, so if anything at all needs service you could be weeks without your vehicle. I'm waiting now nearly 8 weeks for a replacement windshield because the one from the dealership was cracked and not even genesis customer service manager can locate one. They literally have no ETA for hardly anything, especially new models 2021 and 2022.
Yeah, he made some noise but it takes about 10 to 15 days to make the trip and costs much. I went over the George Washington bridge last week and thought $12 was high. Big ships can pay $400,000 for the Panama Canal.Per Parts Supply;
They come in on Container Ships, stacked HIGH with hundreds of containers. These containers are not bolted down. They are just stacked high. (Just finished reading about a container ship rolling, off California, in a storm, heading for Canada. Lost a bunch of containers when the ship took a steep roll.) Don’t know about Canadian West Coast Ports, but many MANY Container Ships waiting to off load at Long Beach.
Have you seen photos of how high the containers are stacked?
(These ships are Top Heavy!
I don’t see how they are safe or don’t tip). That’s where our parts are sitting. Cars, come in on car carriers that dock at separate locations.
BTW, our governor in Florida, DeSantis, (love him) has posted that those ships waiting in California should come to Florida, as we have three ports that can handle those ships. One is Tampa. Another on East Coast and a third in Panhandle. (Although the Panama Canal has been expanded and new larger locks built, don’t know if these super large Container Ships can get through).
