  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I saw a photo somewhere on this forum showing the roof console control buttons (door, room, etc.) rear illuminated, Any help on how I could do this.

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of what you're mentioning here - would you? I'm guessing it's buttons on top that do not illuminate - so you don't see them at night.. If so, than the 2010 Lexus RX350 has this problem with a few buttons around the interior as well. It's annoying...

I am looking. It really bugs me I can't find them again.

Mine lights up the same on my 3.8 Tech. Maybe all thats missing is the bulbs from yours.

The roof mounted buttons on my 3.8 Premium Plus (Non-Tech) light up. Build date is 5/2008.

The back lighting for the overhead buttons on my 4.6 tech pkg also light up when I turn the parking lights on.

Check your instrument lights rheosat. If it's turned all the way down, the overhead button lights are so dim they appear to be off.

If you still are not getting any back lights I'd bet it's wiring or a fuze (or worse, they forgot to put the lights in).

Boy am I a dope. My instrument lights rheostat was all the way down. There are lights there Holy Cow! :D

I owe everyone an apology. I'm embarrassed to say that my rheostat switch was all the way up and my overhead lights were indeed on.....no missing bulbs....just a set of 72 year old eyes that can't get used to dim blue lights. Sorry. But nice to know that you were out there and willing to help. Thanks.
