2014 Equus Signature with 17 speaker Lexicon. So, the underpowered 8" stock sub now has 600w RMS available after installing an aftermarket amp. Huge improvement for sure but rattles the rear deck depending on the song. I tried a ported JL 10w3v3 in the trunk but could barely tell the sub was maxed out while I was in the cabin. Standing outside the car there was no evidence of a 10" JL pounding in the trunk. The trunk is so well insulated and airtight that I'm simply wasting a great sub. I can't replace the 8" stock sub as it'll just rattle the rear deck even more. I suppose I could remove it, creating better transfer of air between the trunk and the cabin, but it's difficult to access. Whole back seat must be removed. I could add a bass tube to the back center console slot, might look cool...probably look cheap though.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I feel like I've researched this to death and now running in circles.
