Thanks for the info. I checked my fuses; one breaker "clicked" when I pushed down on it. Maybe that could be something. Will let you know. Also waiting for a reply from Hyundai Consumer Relations.
Sitting here right now with my 2010 Genesis with tech package, not starting with just 1,000 miles on it! Talk about pissed!
I've owned four Toyotas and never had a service call. The tow truck is on its way. Sorry I didn't lease. Feel like I bought a lemon.
I'm not even going to attempt a jump start because I think they'll be back next week. Maybe I'll be lucky and they will figure this one out but I don't think I'd do it again.

Battery and tire warranties are typically different than the rest of the new car warranty. But check the warranty details on your car and see what it says.I started having dead battery problems about 2 weeks ago (early June 2011).
If the Genesis was not driven for a couple of days, the battery would be so low the engine would not start (just a clicking noise). I recharged the battery (in the trunk) and everything would be ok for 1 or 2 days and same dead battery problem occurred again and again. Also, my navigation system "locked up" and I lost all my address book settings. Brought it to the dealer this morning and they called back saying the battery had a "bad cell". They also said I would need to pay 75% and they would cover 25% of the
new ($180) battery. I purchased the Genesis in May 2009, so the vehicle is just 2 years old. I think this a crappy battery warranty, as most batteries should last 5 or 6 years.Would it be worthwhile to write to Hyundai about this problem?
Thanks
Did anybody notice "imitiday" s post? No one seemed to comment on it (like, hey I looked under the hood and the part in question was still there, so no that isn't it).
Forgive my female non technical response, but there is some sort of contact under the hood of the car and I think it's related to an alarm that will sound if the hood is opened without the proximity key being nearby.
That is most likely the cause of the battery draining in a few days. A little piece of rubber that goes missing. All it takes is a search, since there is more than one existing thread on the subject as you mentioned.
