I have a 2015 genesis sedan with 4200 miles. I have has to call the help line 3 times with battery failure. Each time the auto rescue vehicle came and jumped my battery and it started. Is anyone else having battery problems?
On some previous year models, a few people posted about a similar experience that turned out to be because the electrical accessory system was not completely shut off, usually due to a sensor tab under the hood that fell out, and was not making contact when the hood was closed (or something like that). There might also be sensor in the door jamb, etc. that is stuck and not working. Or maybe there is short in the system.I have a 2015 genesis sedan with 4200 miles. Would be interesting to know if other auto brands utilizing agm batteries - esp. large batt.'s - are having similar problems.Again I called the 24 hour road service and the gentleman that started the car tolbe me that out of , on average, 100 battery calls per week, 50 were from genesis and kia owners. Such a good car, but worthless if one cannot depend on it to start.

You might search the forum to see if you can find those threads, and see if your 2015 has a similar sensor tab under the hood or elsewhere that is not shutting off the electrical system.
If you can't find it, I would take it to the dealer and let them charge the system completely, and then leave it sitting for several days or a week so they can verify that there is a problem. Hyundai is notorious for not fixing things if they cannot reproduce the problem themselves. Might be tricky getting a loaner, but I would take whatever car they give me (Sonata, etc) if they would agree to do it.

The shop manual - mine at least - says the car should be able to sit for a month and still start ok.
Longer than that, and you need a trickle charger.
It's always been my policy to replace batteries after 4 years also. And, I was hoping to keep that monster battery in my 2015 even longer.I have 3 cars with agm batteries including the Genesis. Never had a problem with any agm batteries. I usually replace them after 4 years.
How does one email the corporate office. Thanks in advance for your info.
