It will show commercial chargers,
Yes,the ChargePoint app is also your ticket to using their commercial chargers, some of which are free at various establishments. If you are hardwiring your home charger with a 60A circuit, then it will be capable of proving the max charging current to the GV60, which is 11.5kW.I have the charge point flex on order. Does the charge point app have any use for commercial chargers? The closest commercial charger near me is a charge point, but people complain about it being slow (62.5kW on plugshare) so I'm guessing this level 2 home one might be just as fast?
Yup, seems like it should be a simple fix...but has not been, luckily there are many workarounds.I have the same issue and also have a case open with Genesis. I’ve sent them requested screen grabs, etc.
I don't know but every electrician said hardwired was the way to go and not a close call. Among other reasons, you don't need GFI protection which, they say, is susceptible to tripping. I originally wanted a plug so I could easily replace the unit but the comeback was the unit is wall-mounted and once you take down the unit changing it for a new unit is a matter of disconnecting and reconnecting 3 wires. Very happy with the Flex and the install.Anyone what the approx charge time difference would be comparing 50A hardwired vs 40A plug?
Here’s the math. A 40A plug (50A circuit) can deliver 9.6kW. A 48A hard-wire (60A circuit) can deliver 11.5kW. The latter is theoretically 20% faster!Anyone what the approx charge time difference would be comparing 50A hardwired vs 40A plug?
If you can put in a 60A circuit you will get the chargers full ability at 48A.Anyone what the approx charge time difference would be comparing 50A hardwired vs 40A plug?
I usually plug in every night to bring my charge back to 80%. Last night I forgot to plug in. This morning I plugged it in. I was at 70% and it took 55 minutes of Level II charging from my Chargepoint Flex to bring me back to 80% (I have a 50 amp circuit so I am charging continuously at 40 amps).I have the charge point flex on order. To each his own, but most/many people charge at home and using DC fast charge most of the time is the one thing the owner's manual actually says not to do. Granted, this will probably never be an issue, and we have a 10-year warranty if it is, but that is the advice provided. A level 2 charge overnight is all you need even if you are going 20 to 100%. I do like the free EA deal though when it's convenient. Free is always good!I usually plug in every night to bring my charge back to 80%. Last night I forgot to plug in. This morning I plugged it in. I would hope that anyone driving a GV60, except for emergencies, would use a fast charger and not a level II charger. I don't know if the same technology is used for its commercial Level II chargers but, again, it only makes sense to find Level III chargers. The disadvantage of the GV60 is its range; the advantage is its ability to accept a Level III fast charge and get back to 80% quickly.
Yes! The slower the charge, the better it is for battery health. Level II is ideal in this regard if you have the time (such as overnight at home). Level III is obviously critical on the road.…using DC fast charge most of the time is the one thing the owner's manual actually says not to do.
